The office handles cases ranging from DUI charges to major felonies, trials to appeals, personal injury to complex civil litigation. Mark has been the "go to guy" for most federal practitioners with questions about grand jury subpoena responses and witness representation, as he spent numerous years handling especially interesting and unique grand jury matters in federal court. His expertise in search and seizure law is also highly regarded in the federal criminal defense bar. Mark has successfully sued large corporations, obtained excellent results in personal injury cases, and been retained in some of the most high profile criminal cases in the county. He now represents a literary artist, some musical artists and a software developer. Mark also prides himself on handling matters prior to charges or lawsuits being filed and having the opportunity to use creativity to be a “fixer” for people with problems, before they become legal problems. The office limits the number of cases it takes at one time so as to assure each client our 100% attention; that is what you're paying for.

Mark’s office associates on almost all cases with either or both of two of the most qualified professionals in the area, Robert W. Storey and James E. “Jed” DePoy. Both men bring quality experience and work on all aspects of the civil and criminal cases, exemplifying the creed of intelligent, hard working and honest.

Robert "Bob" W. Storey, first a Military Intelligence Analyst, ended that career in 1973 and spent the next 30 years as a parole officer and as the Supervisor of the Court and Supervision unit of the Federal Probation Department out of the federal courthouse in Sacramento. What that simply means is that there may not be many around as qualified as Bob to evaluate facts in a criminal case and how those facts will effect the case; most importantly, what facts we would need to find/locate/develop to ensure success in a case. |
Bob was responsible for over seeing the drafting of thousands of sentencing reports which were written for the federal judges to read when imposing a federal sentence; his experience in that area probably can not be met by anyone in private practice, anywhere. Bob has a B.A. Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in The Administration of Justice, and he is a Licensed Private Investigator # 23766. Bob maintains his own successful practice and web site which is located here: www.saccsi.com.

James E. "Jed" DePoy is quite unique among investigators because he actually has a law degree from an acclaimed A.B.A. Law School. Jed has a B.A. Degree from Cal State L.A., and he graduated from Western State University School of Law in 1977. Thereafter, he worked as an adjuster for Traveler’s Insurance Company in the Los Angeles area. Aging quickly on the battlefield of Los Angeles, Jed moved to the Sacramento area and was a criminal investigator for the Placer County Public Defender’s Office, moving on to become the Senior Investigator with the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Sacramento. As a Senior Investigator, the most serious and complex federal crimes were assigned to Jed to get ready for trial. With a law degree and experience in the insurance industry, Jed established himself as one of the best criminal investigators in the area of white collar defense. After 17 years as a Senior Criminal Investigator, Jed left government work to work for himself in 2001. |
He has been responsible for a large number of acquittals in both state and federal court, working on complex state criminal matters the last 6 years for various offices. Jed is an excellent photographer and licensed Private Investigator, # 24918. Jed has a combined total of 29 years as an investigator specializing in criminal defense. He now brings his extensive experience to the forefront working the civil and criminal cases with Mark Reichel. |
